Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to all. Hope you all had a great time this Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all. Hope you all had a great time this Christmas.

Over the weekend, in fact, it was a Friday night when I decided to get myself this:
Hidden…
Finally, for the first time, I’m getting what I’ve always been hearing about- bonus!
For a few days now, I’ve been hearing my colleagues talking about bonus. The last meeting with the Managing Director had some kind of hints on that, where he mentioned that it would be ‘good this year’. I wasn’t at that meeting, for I was at some other project meeting that day.
Anyway, I received a letter from one of my company’s director today- my MD was on course in Gold Coast- and printed on it was my bonus…. Heheh
I was quite overwhelmed by the amount I was getting, considering that I’m still green as to what I’m expected to deliver, and I’ve been hitting on walls lately. Nevertheless, I’m grateful, and I would want to work hard to not disappoint my bosses…
But right now, I’m in euphoria state. I just can’t wait to spend spend spend right now. Maybe I shall get a new d-SLR to bring on my Auzzie trip. Hmmm….
Sorry for my disappearing act, but I’ve been both lazy and busy.
After work, I’ve always prefer to just lay lazy- watching tv, playing games online or on my handphone…
And busy, after I got myself a rabbit!
Here, meet Shai:

Shai’s a Netherland Dwarf, and he’s currently 2 months plus. He’s bluish grey ash coloured and his eyes are black, but red when you look at certain angles. He’s a shy guy, thus his name. And at the same time, he’s pretty naughty; he will somewhat beg to have his cage open, but when I did, he stay quietly away. When I reach for him, he’ll shy away; he basically pretends that he’s not interested. But when I was away, he’ll get out of his cage and hide at all places he can think off. Damn naughty fella… tsk tsk tsk.
I just hope I can potty-train him, and he can hide all he wants then…
The latest Survivor series at Cook Islands has invited controversy by dividing the tribe members according to their race. Singapore TV decided to not bring in the popular reality program, but finally did after a few episodes were aired in the US. I guess the TV people were afraid of unwanted criticism of being somewhat insensitive towards issue of race, which I find so remote a reason. And this is what I have to say…
We are all made different. We have to acknowledge that. We have to accept that. We are of different races all over the world, and we practise different culture. I believe no matter what’s done, it’s almost impossible to integrate all the races together. But that does not mean we all cannot be as one. We all need to understand each other. We all need to respect each other.
Personally, I think what Survivor had done was to acknowledge the presence of race. Whether or not Survivor or its participants are racist, I don’t know….yet. I’ll have to wait for the airing of the show, and watch it myself. If the participants make uncalled for remarks, and Survivor decided to air those remarks, then yes, it’s racist. But till then, I shall wait and see…
(Oh sucks! I just realized that Survivor will be shown on Friday night, when I’ll most probably on the bus heading towards KL….. WTF!)
My hard disk crashed again. What a lousy day to wake up to…
I simply cannot believe it, but this is, I think, the second time my hard disk went kaput on me.
I’m considering sending it to some data recovery centre but I think it will cost me a bomb. I’ll decide after getting a quote after sending the hard disk for analysis.
What do you think, how much does it cost to retrieve data and getting a new 120GB hard disk?
Two exciting superstructure will be up at Marina Bay comes 2010- the Integrated Resort, and the recently announced Gardens By The Bay.
Both these two projects will see Marina Bay transformed totally, whereby I believe the kite-flying site will be gone and so will be the famous seafood buffet place.
Some preview sketches of these two projects:

I suppose, the previous post would be my last ping to PPS. I have my reasons for this, and aptly not of positive nature.
Whatever it is, I will miss ping-ing PPS. It has been quite an experience. I get to experience the culture that’s part of Malaysian blogosphere. I get to know people whom mostly I’ve loved to read about, stalk, be fan of, and so forth.
In any case, I wish PPS and its member well. Do drop by and say hello if our path crossed (that is, leave comments lar, or even email me…
)
Goodbye
It’s time to give my blog a new header. This I aptly called Collaging Memory. I won’t be setting any blog-theme for Dec’05. Enjoy the holiday season.
A recap (something of LiewCF’s style….heheh):
Firstly, I started off with some car-wash promo videos, complete with a parody.
I caught up with Jimmy on his pet project, and now I’m wondering who has entered the Sexy Posing Competition.
And then, came the girl who grew up too fast, perhaps to be the next sexy thang, who will be releasing her new album.
I got slapped for posting this short entry.
And a girl who can cook and knows food? I think that that’s sexy…
Being in front of the camera makes some feel sexy, I’m sure she did.
And it’s always nice to end with a lighthearted post.
It’s been raining… and announcing the death of Ipso Facto and buangmasa. I’m not sure of their reasons, but all the best to you both.
Updated February 22, 2006 @ 01:32: Ipso Facto’s back!!
I asked a friend to contribute something on my blog, a.k.a guest-blog, but in the end I succumbed to:
1) my friend’s request for a subdirectory to blog. damnit, my friend has something kinda interesting in mind, or so he claimed so. Fine…
2) helping him to set up a blog publishing platform. I’ve not tried setting up Movable Type, so decided to do so…
Here’s his blog.

It’s going to be a slow- but a sure one- process of burying my old blog at blogsome. Blogsome has served me well, no doubt about it. But I’ve been getting quite a lot of spam there and I don’t quite like that. Furthermore, I don’t have any intention to put a link from that old blog to here. So, I might as well close it.
It’s kinda like, how the lead actress got killed.
Thanks blogsome
A new banner is up.
Sexier, leaning towards filmic feel.
Come Nov, andre’s loft will be featuring some cool bloggers.

Welcome back, PPS, well…. almost.
[This is also to the test the manual/ autopinging function…heh, dunno if it works]
and so, what i blogged previously came true.
i received an email saying that andresloft.tk is no longer valid. fine.
not that i really needed the .tk extension anyway…
btw, anyone whow’s wordpress well, please do contact me andres.loft[at]gmail[dot]com
I’ve corrected some back-end stuff, thus ping-ing for the second time…
Please ignore, unless you want to read what’s archived…
Hi there…
This is the loft’s first ping to the PPS. It has always been a temptation to ping, perhaps just to test out the effect.
I’ve been blogging for awhile now, but I’d my own domain recently and I’ve migrated my blog over. It was quite a tedious process, as I was transferring my blog over manually… post by post, comments by comments.
The migration has reached a good milestone, and I’ll be closing down my previous blog soon…
Yup, that’s all from me…
Blog on!
