Butterfly

I’m not sure what this is called except ‘butterfly’:

Butterfly

It’s basically flour with sesame seed, fried in oil. But this is the best aftermeal food that I’m having now. Best accompanied with iced tea, kopitiam style.

It cost 50cent and this one from Bukit Batok is really good. :)

Hmm.. I also dunno what its called. Normally when I buy this, I will just point it out and the stall person will say out the name. Maybe its called He2 Ci3 ? But that sounds like fried prawn.

first thing when I read this post, I thought of my friend ‘Andy’ who is also ‘SurfnuX’, which I kinda planned to tell him I found ur blog. Guess he found u first lol. Andy came visit me last week, we got ourselves ‘buey yap’ (read: butterfly). He is the one who told me that particular snack is called ‘butterfly’ in Singapore. When we ordered ‘butterfly’ here, in Indo, the uncle went like ‘huh?’ I dont even know what they called it here :S
